Max Reedijk (He/Him/His) is a senior associate in the municipal, land use planning and development law group at Dentons. He has a broad range of experience in land use planning and development and has advised landowners and developers on a wide spectrum of issues relating to the use, development and redevelopment of land.

Max also has an extensive background in construction and infrastructure law, expropriation and general commercial litigation. He has advised or assisted in providing advice to private owners, developers and government agencies with respect to high-profile infrastructure and light rail transit projects, multi-residential and mixed use developments, public procurement issues, and complex expropriation claims.

Max has appeared as counsel and successfully argued matters before the Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court. He has also appeared as co-counsel before the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal), the Toronto Local Appeal Body, the Commercial List, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has drafted written materials for the Supreme Court of Canada.

  • Confidential Client: Acted as counsel to a REIT in its appeal of the City of Toronto’s failure to make a decision on a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment that would permit the development of residential condominiums
